KEZAR MOUNTAIN ROAD CLOSED
Kezar Mountain Road has been closed due to extremely muddy conditions. The closure will be from the Kelley Day residence over the bridge. The date for reopening the road will be announced at a later time.
ROADS ARE POSTED AS OF MONDAY, MARCH 17 The limit is 12,000 pounds. Posting will probably be removed by May 1. Contact the road commissioner at 625-4558 or 793-7188 for special circumstances.
Currently, the state has said it will NOT post state roads. They reassess the condition of roads weekly, so that could change. State roads are North Road, Elm Street, Merrill Hill Road, Middle Road between Merrill Hill Road and Moulton Hill Road, Moulton Hill Road and Maplewood Road.
Sand for Town Residents
Two five gallon buckets of sand per snowstorm is available to town residents. The sand is at the South Hiram lot (across from South Hiram Elementary School) or the lot at 144 Maplewood Road. NO MORE THAN THE TWO FIVE GALLON BUCKETS MAY BE TAKEN.ABSOLUTELY NO TRUCKS!!

Parking any vehicle within a plowed right-of-way during snow removal season is prohibited by state law. Such vehicles will be towed at owner's expense.
No snow may be plowed across and left in any roadway.
